I recently interacted with Jaime Pardo regarding a rental listing. While he was responsive, the professionalism and communication style were concerning. I asked a simple question before proceeding: whether the property owner would consider a rent adjustment for a long-term lease prior to scheduling a viewing or paying an application fee. Instead of a clear answer, I was told I would need to apply and pay before he would even ask the owner. When I followed up for clarification, the responses I received were “good,” “yep,” and ultimately, “The answer is no.” For a transaction involving significant financial commitment, this level of communication is dismissive and unprofessional. Responsiveness alone does not equal quality service. Transparency, clarity, and professional courtesy matter.

Disappointing and unprofessional. I recently hired Stephanie Grise to market one of my properties for rent and due to differences in expectations, I informed Ms. Grise that I would be pulling the rental listing as things were not working out. In a text message response, she stated she would send an email to terminate the relationship and would remove the MLS listing. This text message was sent at approximately 10:19PM on 8/9/2018 and I was fine with her pulling the listing and terminating the relationship. What I did not anticipate or expect was that she was making her way to my property at nearly 11pm to remove the lockbox and leave the keys in the house, thereby locking me out as the locks had just been changed to prepare for a new tenant.
