Uneven Build Quality and Weak Oversight — Some Strengths, Many Misses We closed on a new KB Home in Leander, and in our experience, construction oversight was inconsistent from framing through finish. Positives: The foundation and framing appear solid, electrical and plumbing systems function as expected, and the kitchen layout, cabinetry, and granite/quartz countertops were installed neatly. Kitchen tile looks properly applied, and basic carpet is acceptable. Negatives: Interior finish quality was disappointing. Several drywall areas are uneven or bulging, baseboards show paint drips and splits, and many door trims are misaligned or gapped. Our experience with Adrian Stechnij is off to a wonderful start. Very informative with a delivery that was fun while maintaining his professionally polite demeanor. The location was pretty busy that day so we was able to handle multiple clients at one time with only a little patience from those walk-ins (expected). We've decided to build a new home and will update this review along the way from a contractors points of view. Built time 4-5 months. Standard amongst national builders as well.
