Journey Settlements

Unfortunately, we have been through two closings with Journey and each one has been total chaos. Journey will not tell you the total amount due at closing until closing day, at which point you are expected to transfer any necessary funds and obtain a wire or cashier's check within hours (or minutes) of signing the paperwork. If the funds are not transferred, or the wire takes longer than an hour or so to process, you are out of luck. In addition, Journey will not communicate with you by phone. They simply refuse to do so. Instead, Journey's representatives force you to use "Qualia" software, which requires two-factor authentication to read and send messages. I suspect the majority of positive reviews are from agents who are not customers of Journey.

Journey Settlements is an amazing settlement company that cares about all of their clients. When you walk into the office it is so warm and friendly! The staff is awesome! They make your transactions easy from the beginning to the end! I highly recommend them!!

I used Journey for a quick-turnaround cash purchase and again later when I sold the house. They were very thorough with title search and document preparation and communicated well throughout the process each time. They even scheduled a mobile notary to handle my closing out of town.
