FRAUD ALERT: STAY FAR AWAY FROM HOMESMART AND ***FRED LEWIS*** I was looking at rather expensive homes with a ***Fred Lewis*** of HomeSmart, who bragged during showings that he hid all of his income and assets so he never paid taxes. I made a very solid offer and the sellers came back with a counter-offer at list price. ***Fraudulent Fred Lewis*** told me in writing that he would return me $3,000 after closing (his commission was around $14,000), if I agreed to the higher, list price. I reluctantly said OK, and when he arrived with the contract, he said "Do this my way, trust me", and proceeded to tell me to offer another $1,000 over what the sellers had already countered, and that he would also rebate me that additional amount, for a total rebate of $4,000. ***Fraudulent Fred Lewis
