I’m currently renting from him, via AG Campus Housing, in an illegal unit. I am a residential tenant in a commercially zoned and derelict building. I am autistic and I was tricked. I did not know it was illegal and uninhabitable when I signed my lease. His illegal and negligent practices as a landlord have harmed me immensely through my tenancy and he continues to do illegal things and not make it possible for me to leave despite the law requiring him to do so. The city got involved months ago and he still hasn’t completed any repairs or begun honoring important factors in the lease, like landscaping, nor legal statutes related to safety, rental housing codes, and human and civil rights.
