Ivory Homes - Davis County Office and Design Center

HIGHLY recommend that you AVOID building with Ivory Homes. We had a positive experience with the design phase of our home. However, we were shocked with the state of the home when we closed. We hired an independent inspector to make sure the home was safe for us to live in. He found 23 concerns, several potentially dangerous for our young children and one a serious code violation. We soon found that many neighbors were having similar experiences, some worse. Response from Ivory was deplorable. Our experience with Ivory has been so stressful and overwhelmingly negative. Ivory Homes tries to be the number one home builder by producing as many homes as possible instead of building quality homes. Please save yourself and find another company for your new build.

If I can go minus1 star, I will! Terrible costumer service at this office. They never ever answer a questions and then just hung up phone. People who work in a office need learn manner's and be more professional about work. Warrenty repairs almost never happen due to contractors never showing up after being instructed to do so. My home set 3 months not touched during build process, for some reason we had 3 different Superintendent. Home build time was 11 months and 2 weeks.

If you are looking for a builder or a new home, avoid these guys like the plague! They do a great job of selling, but once your contract is signed the customer service comes to a screeching halt! If you absolutely cannot find another home anywhere, make certain that you have an ATTORNEY review any contract that you will sign with them and have a land inspector or the city engineer look at the property and drainage. These guys filed a plan with the city for water drainage on an entire community that they built, but did not follow the plan for water drainage that they filed. Find a home inspector that is extremely thorough because these guys are known for taking shortcuts in any way they possibly can.

Marlyn is EXTREMELY rude and bothered and confrontational when I called to ask about the tree vouchers from J&J nursery. She said ( it has to be done in 6 months ) when we closed in December it was WINTER and we were in severe drought after that. She didn’t want to hear and she basically didn’t want to talk to me because I’m not the one who signed the contract that said so.

Reading the reviews from people makes me realize that there are so many Karens out there complaining like they don’t have anything better to do. Ivory Homes has been good to us. Expensive, yes. Worth it? Yes.
