Excellent part of the Southside of Des Moines to have an apartment in! Very quiet and discreet! I recommend this place to all 1br apartment finders!

Overall a fantastic place to live. Great location! Nice new vinyl floors and feels spacious inside for a 1bedroom. Aside from the following below! Highly recommended .5 star rating! - The outside door latch has been broken ever since I moved in. Half the doors handles were removed and has been for 8months where sharp objects would be dangerous for kids. The door slams loudly every time you open it. - Packages result in theft due to the door being locked and amazon drivers not having proper entry to leave packages inside. - Apartment below me has an aroma of weed smell. Nightly ceremonial events take place as I can hear a man chanting strangely in a different language. Sometimes speaking very quickly and sounding very angry. - The man above me marches around nonstop early in the AM whic

Lived here for a year. Not great. I constantly hear people arguing in the apartment below me, my apartment constantly smells like cigarettes or weed, I don't even smoke. Had mice in my apartment and the property manager doesn't do a whole lot. And the parking lot is awful in the winter. Definitely finding somewhere else to live not going to waste any more money here.

I wish there was an option to rate this place without any stars. Where do i begin? Let's start with the blatant negligence from Metro Property Management . 1.Non secure-(2711-2715) building: Tenant's or visitor's of tenants manipulating the door latch to stay unlocked 50% of the time. 2. Grounds around property isnt clean.3.Pest Control is a No Show.(Unless MPM deems it necessary). 3.Parking lot used as a place to store non functioning vehicles. 4.Management nor Maintenance isnt on site. Ive called on issues and concerns to MPM ,just to be ignored without a follow up. So that leaves me choice but to report this Apt.Complex to the BBB. Hope this helps whomever is thinking about living here. I advise against it,until the unsafe,unclean living conditions are corrected.

I've been renting in the area for over 10 years. The company that runs Bell Terrace, metro property management, is easily the biggest slum lord in Des Moines.
