Closed on the 11th of December 2025. Prorations were in error. Instead of as stated in the email, "we have 30 days to send closing documents", buyer via the net referenced Lake County Recorder to obtain the recorded deed to provide the assessor the recorded deed for property tax exemptions (2026). Property must be purchased in 2025 to receive property tax exemptions Always review closing statement(s) of buyer-seller expenses for errors. Be mindful of the broker/agent referring escrow and title services regardless of costs/expenses to the principals in the real estate transaction because of personal/professional relationships. As 09 December, nearly 30 days since closing..no closing documents! Beware!
