Independence Oaks Apartments

I have updated my review due to we have a new Community Director Ms.Casey Williams. I have lived in Independence Oaks for almost 7 years. We have had Unit Directors that did their best.Casey is different. Casey is my safe place ❤️. I am working to overcome ptsd anxiety and major depression disorder due too childhood trauma. Tri county MHMR works with MDP the Management Corporation. This property is designed to allow affordable independent living for Cleveland TX Citizens learning to overcome chronic emotional distress. Casey gives us a voice and she never makes us ashamed of what society including first responders not giving us a voice. She makes me a better person. Take a bow Ms.Casey you earned it.

We now have new staff so we’ll see how that goes. As far as maintenance on these Apts I’ve had a MOLD PROBLEM for the last 3 years. They moved us into hotels (those who also had mold problems) the first time and remodeled the rooms with the mold. But it has come back & their not doing ANYTHING to treat it, except spray kilts over it. I have copd & my little device dog has been diagnosed with chronic bronchitis from my vet. So you would think they would want to take serious care of this problem as quickly as possible, BUT instead they painted over it with kilts. GO FIGURE!!!!!

March 2022 I finally moved from this ( God forsaken ) place & I honestly can't believe it was handled the way it was. So last month I had a couple of guests stay the night in my apartment. Well 4 days after my guest had left, the manager request for me to "come down to the office." So I went straight over. She informed me that my guest had run into the gate and so they ask me to vacate my lease agreement. I had bo idea that this was going to happen, or was I financially able to afford an apartment that wasn't section 8 or hud. She gave me 30 days to vacate. I then went right home & called the District Manager " Janette." I asked her if I could view the video footage that proved that it was REALLY MY GUESTS that ran into the gate.
