House 57 Busultan

I lived at House 57 Flats for 2 years. It was perfect for me because it was walking distance from the University of Miami and came with free parking (in the Flats) and your own private bathroom. I was the first person to live in my unit and I have personally seen the change in management. Many of the older negative reviews are due to the previous management which is night and day to the current management led by Liz Kenneally. Liz is great and very responsive to your questions and needs. I lived at House 57 so long, Liz was like family haha. Another bright spot of the complex is the Maintenance and Repair crew, specifically Eric. He is the man and super nice. He knows everyone’s name and will fix any problem you have. Lived here for 3 years and the management wasn’t great my first 2 years but ever since they made the switch to a new management my time here has been flawless. They visit the property regularly and are very reasonable with requests and other things you may need. Location wise it was perfect to me because it’s super close and walking distance to the University of Miami campus especially without me having a car. The apartment complex itself is nice, and rent doesn’t really differ from other places this close to campus. Overall I had a great time living at House 57!

My daughter moved in almost a year ago to the Flats. At this time, the new management was in place. The response to my inquiries were always quick and professional. There were a few things needing to be fixed in her room when she moved in and they were done immediately. The maintenance staff was also always courteous to her. One day she was upset and the staff on duty was worried so let Liz know. She reached out to my daughter to make sure she didn't need anything. It is close to UM and the shuttle bus which my daughter loved. The Flats have a nice little back yard which was a nice space to relax.

I was one of the first tenants that moved in to House 57 flats, it was from fall 2018 to summer 2019. I'd say that I had a great time living there in beginning. It was a really nice apartment with modern amenities, but after living there for sometime (between 2-3 months), things started to breakdown e.g. door lock, sink and the dishwasher. I had the land lord (Liz) hire a technician/ mechanic to fix these broken amenities multiple times, but the job was never really done properly. It wasn't long until it started to breakdown again, and yes you may think it is the tenants fault, but we spoke to all our neighbour and it came to no surprise that they were also dealing with the same issues. Stayed here for almost 2 years while going to UM. I really loved to live here and now that time I move out I already miss this place. I’ve really had good time and made lots of friends, memory and the best experience of my college life. Plus I appreciate to the security management and hardworkers janitors. And often time having fun events on Halloween and valentine days 👌🏻👌🏻
