The Home South Community did an excellent job building my new house. Rick is very a nice builder. He take care everything before my houses closing date. he found a small dent in my front door, and he replaced it with a new one rather than just covering it up. The home specialist, Connie Kitsell is very friendly and always quick when it comes to solving my problems. They do quality work and understands the importance in making sure their customers are happy.

I purchased a home 2016 in the Smyrna Grove subdivision and my roof has leaked into our bedroom every there was a heavy rain. Each time they would say it was nail hole, put in gutter hose, partially replace shingles and supposedly seal around vents. Finally, I hired a certified roofer Oct 2020 and his assessment revealed the vents were installed improperly and drainage system from second floor roof was not correct either. After going back and forth with Home South builders I had to pay for the entire repair. Please consider another builder because this company doesn’t honor their warranty, especially if they have tried to fix the problem after a year.

If you are reading these reviews then you’re smart enough to stay away from this builder. Very low quality work, cheap subcontractors. For half million dollar home you would expect much more. I ran into similar problems as many of the other homeowners. They do not ever take the fault even if it’s so obviously theirs. Even if they do come out to fix their mistakes it’s not done correctly because it would cost them more to do it correctly. So after many complaints I just stop and I think they figured that’s what most homeowners do. But if they were decent builders they should own up to their mistakes, not this builder. So MANY ISSUES , from the mortgage company they encourage you to use (American Eagle). Never returns your call, very difficult to work with. That should of been a red flag fo

2 years and my half million dollar home is falling apart. Not only are my windows warped they weren't installed correctly. Have to replace my deck stairs because they're falling apart. Obviously they don't use skilled contractors, which they boast about. No matter how many times they change the company name, they’re still the same builder. I would never recommend this builder to anyone for the mere fact they treat you like they are doing you a favor, when in fact we’re doing them a favor by purchasing one of their overpriced, low quality homes. Had I known when I purchased my home what I know now I would have chosen a different builder. Obviously this is a company with NO INTEGRITY and hopefully it will catch up with them sooner rather than later! BUYER BEWARE!!!

We had them build us a new home in Parkside Lansing. We had a great team when the house was starting to be built. Rick was the builder and Connie was our realtor. They are both excellent. However about two months in Homesouth moves them to another community. The people they were replaced with were not good. The warranty is not good at all. They don’t replace many things in the first year. Most of our plants died after a couple of months and Bill Burke and his team tells us it’s not under warranty. The bathtub has a defect and he tells us it’s not under warranty. One of our shutters on the front of the house is warped. When the Sheetrock repair guys come out they have to make several trips back because they don’t do thorough work. Even after they are supposedly done I still see
