HillCreste Apartments

We're really glad we chose Hillcreste Apartments for our new home in Los Angeles. From our first anxious moments arriving here at night during the recent rainstorm, your team has been superb. Stephanie, Manny and others were nice, professional and prompt in resolving garage access, AC unit adjustment and a few other details. We're impressed by the quality of your team, the beautiful apartment, lovely grounds, friendly dogs and neighbors. It's truly a pleasure being here! Thank you so much, especially Sonia, for helping us when we were first looking months ago.

Hillcreste was a good place to live in general. It wasn’t perfect but it was generally well run. Worst experience was when I returned a perfectly clean and not worn apartment after a little over a year and I was charged $500+ for some nonsense wear and tear. It’s unethical and likely illegal. Tenants here don’t pick up after their dogs. And there are a few tenants that let their dogs off leash and it becomes dangerous. Property really doesn’t care about it.

My move in was excellent. Sonia and Jennifer , the managers, were extremely helpful. As an example, the apartment balconies window tracks were dirty, almost immovable, and once the managers were told, the cleaning crew and handyman came to my apartment within five minutes and fixed the issue! I'm very pleased.

The new community assistant, Sonia, has shown unprofessional and discriminatory behavior toward non-white residents. While she acts friendly and courteous when her manager is present, her attitude changes completely once the manager is out of the office: she becomes indifferent and even rude to non-white residents. I have personally witnessed her being warm and welcoming to white residents while ignoring or dismissing others at the same time. It’s deeply disappointing that the management hired someone who displays such bias. This kind of behavior creates an unwelcoming environment and damages the sense of community for many residents.

I have lived in HillCreste Apartments since 2018 and am so glad we landed here when we moved across the country. It is the best location and a safe and well managed gated complex. We have dogs and love that we can walk our dogs in our community safely. The grounds back up to a country club giving a break from the hustle of the city. Maintenance is quick to respond and fix things well. I have looked for other places to move to but there is no where else that compares for this area.
