Someone was sent out several days after submitting the maintenance request; then they had to get approval before coming back to do the work. They came back and installed a new garage door opener, but 2 days later my car was stuck in the garage again with an error code reading excessive force detected on the wall opener display. After submitting another maintenance request, the garage door company called back and said the spring above the garage door most likely has broken, but they can’t come out to service it because Hignell never paid for them for installing the garage door opener, claiming that they never approved the work. DO NOT RENT AT 150 APT #3 THEY HAVE ROACHES AND ARE VERY INFESTED. MY FIRST DAY OF MOVING IN I WOKE UP AND A ROACH WAS CRAWLING ON MY HAND. I REPORTED IT AND ALL THEY DID WAS HAVE PEST CONTROL COME OUT AND TRIED TO ACT LIKE THAT WOULD FIX THE ISSUE .. NO IT NEVER FIXED IT THEY NEVER WENT AWAY, THERE WAS ONE CRAWLING ON MY TODDLER IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. ALSO WHEN I MOVED IN THERE WAS A HOLE IN THE WALL WHERE THE CABLE GOES, THERE WAS NO WEATHER STRIP PUT UNDER MY FRONT DOOR, EVERYDAY THAT I WOULD GO THERE I WOULD FIND LIVE BUGS ALL OVER MY FLOOR. PEST CONTROL DOES NOT GET RID OF THE ROACHES IF THE OTHER UNITS ARE INFESTED. IT WAS DAY LIGHT WHEN THE BUG WAS CRAWLING ON MY HAND AND MY BABYS. I WATCHED THESE BUGS CRAWL INTO THE WALL. I’m choosing to leave this review anonymously because I’ve seen friends experience backlash including sudden issues with their security deposits after raising concerns or filing perfectly reasonable requests. That alone says a lot about how this property management company handles resident feedback. Based on my own experience, the management presents an image of being responsive and on top of things, but that has not reflected the reality. Communication is consistently poor, and when problems are reported, they’re often brushed off with claims that the issue has already been resolved, even when the exact same problem continues to resurface. Be very aware, these folks are absolutely terrible. The fact that I’m talking the time out of my day to leave this review, when I’m not even the tenant should say enough….but I’m gonna say more anyways. My family member has been living in one of their houses for over a year and since the beginning, it’s been a circus. Upon move in the owner had given out her phone number incase there were any issues. This was a signal of hope…..she never answers….EVER. My niece has been scolded by faulty shower valve, even tho they were told a month prior there was an issue.
