Ikram was incredibly professional and kind while we toured the 1 bedroom apartments. The facilities appear to be in great working order, though the oarking garage costs are steep and I can understand why people have concerns with package theft. Nevertheless, it seems like a nice place to live.
My roommate and I got bed bugs from the hallway of Highpoint. The leasing office manager was absolutely terrible at communicating with us. She ignored our phone calls and was not communicating to us when people were coming to spray our apartment. The first time they were supposed to come and spray, they never came and the front office didn’t communicate that to us. (We have a cat that needed to be taken someplace else each time they came.) My roommate and I have been less than pleased with the staff in the front office. We even tried to contact corporate multiple times to help, and they never got back to us either.
I have mixed feelings about Highpoint on Columbus Commons. The leasing staff never told me that the unit I applied for and signed the lease for was actually in the sister building, not the main building I wanted. I only discovered this afterward, on my move-in day, which was very frustrating. Fortunately, the property manager understood my situation and moved me to a better unit in the main building, with a balcony and park view, and even price-matched it with about $300 off. I appreciated that effort. However, the new unit was dusty and needed a full floor replacement, which delayed my move-in by several days. Overall, the experience was inconsistent. Good support from management, but poor communication and preparation from the leasing staff. Not recommended.
I am getting increasingly frustrated with the system the property has in place for receiving packages and mail. I frequently order from Amazon for what I expect to be convenience, but I am lucky if I receive my package. If you live in the smaller building, 140, Amazon apparently has no access to that building so there is a chance that they will leave the package outside the door, on the street. When they’ve done this, it has been stolen. This has happened to me more than once. I don’t know why there is no system in place to give them access to this building. On the other hand, if they deliver to the main building, 190, the area for packages is often so disorganized with packages stacked everywhere that there is a good chance of it being stolen there too. Even with the secured Luxer locker
I would advise against living here. I have had so many bad experiences, I will just list SOME of them here (due to google review word limit). I have lived here for about 2.5 years, and it was totally fine until this past year when things started to go downhill. Let me start this review with the number one issue I have been experiencing since February 2025 up until I moved out in late October. There is a loud, mechanical type banging noise throughout the stack of apartments mine was unfortunately located on that would be loud as could be, often waking me up out of a deep sleep between 8pm-4am, most of the time between the hours of 11pm-4am. Originally, the office said it was a faulty airduct on the roof, but had “repaired” it in April (still, it started beginning of February and it took th
