High House at Cary Apartments

The only upside to this place is the price, and that gets you flooded apartment twice, no hot water, cockroaches, and close to no one it seems that can help with any of it. This apartment has caused me so much stress it is absolutely not worth it to live here.

When I moved here on March 27, 2022. In Apt 2723 , the day of moving APt was ready and I was not allowed to put my luggage till evening. I understood and I cooperated. But the carpet was looking old and not clean. I have been told when I renew lease then they will replace I renewed lease but carpet has not changed. Due to project changes I left the place on Oct 30, 2023 I asked to inspect the apartment but no one checked at that time. Later they gave me a bill of $796 for carpenter renting, even though I paid lease breaking charges and gave proper notice. While signing the lease I opted for a $400 security deposit which is refundable. Now that is not refunded and BH management says I choose a $200 security deposit non refundable. A great location and unit, but that’s about it. I have lived here for a year and still haven’t received a mailbox key despite asking countless times. Withholding mail is a federal crime and they don’t seem to care. Maintenance never comes when asked and if they do they don’t do anything. My dishwasher has been broken since move in and every time I call maintenance they say it “seems fine” or they go to “find a product” to help and never come back. My smoke alarm has been out for over a week, and leasing has not returned any of my inquiries. Complex is constantly overflowing with garbage. Nightmare living scenario

I HIGHLY recommend that you read through the reviews before moving here and take them seriously. I read them and didn’t, and it led to the most frustrating living environment of my life. TLDR: Don’t move here if you can help it. If you can’t, just know it’ll be a pain and you’ll have to deal with an incredibly disorganized, uncaring, and most times incompetent team. They are most likely done with working here, which I get it sometimes the job is not the best especially when under a lot of pressure, but they have to understand that their lack of responsibility doesn’t lead to just a bad meal or customer service experience—it impacts your entire life as you can’t just go home from a long day of having to deal with the teeth pulling you have to do to be listened to here.
