Hideaway Apartments

I’ve lived in these apartments for 20 years now. Raised my boys here and they have been great as far as maintenance and overall communication. The price for the area is unbeatable. Highly recommend for a first time renters or a seasoned renter.

My heat was broken for a week before someone came to fix it... consistently running even when I turned it off. When someone finally came, they did not have the correct part to fix it so they had my emergency heat running for about 3 weeks. My electric bill was $400 when it's never been over $200. I called 3 times to try and see what they could do to mend that situation. No call back. I have had black mold in my bathroom for about a year, and a non functioning stove top for 2 months. Neither of which have been fixed, despite over a dozen calls. I've made to them.. it's always "Oh well s9 and so handles that and she's not in the office today,, so I'll have to have her call you back." The only time I have ever gotten a call back is when I ran out of pre addressed envelopes to send my rent ch

The previous review regarding lack of maintenance is correct. I tried to get someone to fix a clogged drain under my kitchen sink and was told they didn't consider it to be a maintenance problem and wouldn't send someone out to fix it. Weeks later maintenance showed up with out notice to finally fix it only because the people in the apartment below mine complained about water leaking into their apartment. I ended up moving out because my furnace went out mid winter and maintenance refused to fix it. If you're considering renting here, don't do it. You can buy a nicer place to live than this AND it will cost you less money in monthly expenses.

I lived at the Hideaway apartments for eight years and really liked it. The neighborhood is clean and quiet. The only reason I moved out is because the furnace quit working mid Winter and the maintenance guy the rental office sent over didn't fix it. I called back a second time, and the same maintenance guy still wouldn't fix it. I guess it was a blessing in disguise though. It's costing me less to own a home than it costs to rent now as much as rent prices are going up.

Do not move here. This place is super outdated, and it takes many complaints and tickets to get things fixed then BAM they raise your rent. Maintenance obviously doesn't care about your privacy. You put in a ticket and maintenance has the right to come into your apartment anytime after the ticket has been scheduled. There is no phone calls or heads up. Maintenance also never wore masks. My rent has gone up hundreds of dollars within a few years. My friend down the street who lives in a townhouse, her rent went up $200 just a few days ago. All my appliances are from the 1980's, they suck. I had a crack going from my ceiling to my window and maintenance said it was "normal". Everything just sucks in here. SAVE YOURSELF.
