Heights on Katy

I’ve lived at this complex for over a year now. I love the location, but there are a few things that need to be fixed. The most upsetting thing right now is the trash. The trash has been piling up for over a week now and nothings been done about it. It’s disgusting. The front gate is always open, it’s actually bent and can’t even close anymore. We’ve had multiple car break ins and cars left on cement blocks. Even when the gate did work for like a week at a time, the key pad has never worked which is extremely inconvenient when having guests over and just having them wait until someone comes in or out. We have new management, which is the second time since I’ve lived here and nothing has really changed. Not really hopeful, but we’ll see what happens.

I just recently moved in and I am so happy I chose this one! Dana went above and beyond and sent me videos of the available apartments while I was at work. Then when I moved in there is a nice guy, Jesse, at the desk closest to the door. He helped me to get registered for the lockers so I can have packages delivered. There were already things I ordered that arrived early and they had them in the office for me. Anything I have needed the staff has been helpful. I really felt welcomed and I really love that there are several courtyard seating areas. I even went to the pool a couple times now. So far it’s been great!

I’ve lived here for almost a year and I will not renewing my lease. There is a HIGH amount of car break ins and theft happening. Seeing cars on bricks is a regular occurrence. I’ve personally had all my wheels stolen, and recently my entire car was stolen from the parking garage as well. The gate is always broken, so anyone is able to come and go as they please. Management is not helpful, and there are no cameras despite the numerous requests from residents and repeated offenses. The trash is piling up at every dumpster as has been for over a week. Maintenance is unresponsive when putting in requests, and I’ve had to deal with a leaking roof every time it rains. I was advertised a renovated apartment and received a dated apartment with old cabinetry, peeling countertops, breaking appliance

The picture below are COMMON occurrences. There is absolutely 0 security despite advertisements and fees that say otherwise. Management is aware of the FREQUENT break ins but nothing gets done. Seems to be every weekend or more It’s to the point where neighbors are staying up and setting up their own cameras. The cleanliness and maintenance is also horrible. It’s a shame bc the location and actual building (not the management of it) are great.

Since Chris and RPM recently took over the property, the transition has been incredibly smooth. Chris has done an excellent job keeping everyone informed and maintaining clear, consistent communication throughout the process. Can’t wait to see the changes around the community!
