Heights at Jackson Village I and II

So far my experience has with living at The Heights at Jackson Village and been lacking. That is not to say that the apartments are not beautiful, they are and I like my neighbors. BUT, there are several issues that I've noticed after I moved in: no sound proofing of the windows or floors. I can hear ALL the traffic from I-95N and have to sleep with ear buds. My upstairs neighbor is not loud, but I can hear his every step. The biggest lack is in Management and their lack of communications. When I moved in the Management company was different and I loved them. The Management company that we currently have need to do better. I would give zero stars if I could. The elevators at The Heights at Jackson Village have been out of service for over a month, and the situation has become unbearable. My father lives here and requires the use of a scooter for mobility. Because the elevators have not been repaired, he has been essentially trapped in his apartment for more than a month, unable to safely leave. This is not just an inconvenience, it is a major accessibility and safety issue. Management’s lack of urgency or communication has been extremely disappointing. For the rent charged at this property, residents should not have to fight for something as basic and essential as a working elevator. Very nasty management, too secured of a complex for elderly people. Can’t reach or contact family in a emergency , questioned at the door about who and why I was there when I have a ELDERLY SICK GRANDMOTHER THAT LIVES THERE THAT I WAS RUNNING TO FOR A EMERGENCY . profiled!!!! & unacceptable. Great staff, Not completely smoke free. There are selfish residents that do not respect others. I am unable to enjoy my balcony and sometimes, mainly weekends, the smell gets really bad with so much smoking. I wish there was something that could be done to get these bad apples out of here. Now that I have been here over a year, the smoking has become unbearable for some of us that would like have use of the balcony or sit out to have coffee or lunch. For some that have COPD, heart issues! Can't!! The smokers use interior fans that continually puts the smoke out into the air. Unable to open windows for fresh air. I can’t say enough about how kind and attentive the staff (Jen, Sherry and Eva) are. From the day I signed my lease they have been wonderful. They truly care about the residents! I appreciate them so much!
