Heatherwood Apartments

Heatherwood apartments was really good when we had a good manager. Up until 2 years ago when management changed and it’s has been TERRIBLE since. If you want management that will complain about EVERYTHING you do, or management that will make up stories to make it seem like they are right, then this is the place for you! We had a manager who was very personable and made this place very welcoming to live here, but since she left, we’ve gotten nothing but pure disrespect and utter inhuman tendencies. If you wanna be spoken to like a child, or if you want no information on anything and get a surprise bill, then absolutely live here! I’ve lived at Heatherwood for almost a year now and really enjoy the area. The property overall is well maintained, and the property manager and maintenance team are the best I’ve ever experienced. Maintenance requests are completed faster than anywhere else I’ve lived, and the property manager is compassionate, empathetic, and truly understanding. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that the balconies could use some updates, as they are starting to show dry rot, and are falling apart. I’d also recommend keeping the pool open for an extra week or two at the end of the season, since it was still very hot after it closed this year. Overall, Heatherwood is a wonderful place to live, and I’m grateful for how well it’s managed.

As a community partner, I’ve had the pleasure of working closely with this apartment community, maintenance team and the office staff. I can confidently say it stands out for all the right reasons. The landscaping is absolutely beautiful—thoughtfully maintained and a true reflection of the care that goes into every corner of the property. The office staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always professional. It’s clear they take great pride in creating a warm and inviting environment for their residents.

After 6 years, we are very pleased with our experience at Heatherwood. It's in a great area, quiet, shaded, good neighborhood, and the management and maintenance team is amazing. Our floor plan is huge 1030 sq. ft. for 2 full baths, gas heat, AC, big windows, a big porch closet, and spacious kitchen. Our rent is also very affordable. It's 25+ years old, but well kept. Currently it's being repainted and a lot of work is being done on the porches to repair old wood and siding. This is a great community.

The property manager always has an attitude and likes to give out warning notes for non-compliance fees, even when you are being compliant. They’re gone all the time. They’re vindictive and petty, and will be disrespectful to you.
