Heatherwood Apartments

TLDR; roaches and mice for $1700/month is crazy talk We moved here in 2020 just as the pandemic was starting. Third floor, one bedroom w/ den in building 2500. Over all it was pleasant. Building was clean and the neighbors were respectful and quiet. We opted for the remodeled kitchen with cherry cabinets, it was a nice space. We would see an occasion roach (like one or two a month), outside of that it was an overall good experience. In 2022 we decided we wanted more space. We reached out to the leasing office and after some back and forth we were told there was a 2bed with a den available in 1900 and the kitchen (selling point for us as we spend a lot of time in there cooking) would be comparable to the brand new one we had in 2500. I rate this place 1 star I wish I could do 0 stars because this place has a lot of cockroaches. And the rooms are small. And there is an old lady that lives under me that is very mean and when we were sleeping his som just came knocking hardly in the morning and said stop stomping. And after like 5 mins I came down to him and knocked on his door after he opened I was talking and he didn’t even hear me he just cursed at me and shut the door very hard. The office didn’t even care. I am moving this is the worst apartments ever.

I currently live here. It’s great here, but the reason I rate it a three out of a five star rating is because you’re paying rent not cheap rent but rent you will pay on a house. You’re paying all utilities and you have no hot water. There’s no point of paying gas and electric if you have no hot water, the whole complex shares one boiler That’s not fair to those who have children who can’t shower because there’s cold water as if you live somewhere really frozen and it’s freezer temperature water that’s not fair. I feel like management should do better and give each apartment their own boiler. So this doesn’t happen hence charging people high rent and making them pay gas and electric for nothing the insulation you have To deal with it because the walls are thin and all the cold air from outs

Nice place but too many children nowadays. They’re loud, messy (constantly leaving things out and keeping our apartment buildings’ doors opened). Can’t really walk out near the road on the sidewalk anywhere during the afternoon to evening because too many people sitting. The walls are too thin. Ignoring all of that, this is nice place 👍

I lived here over 9 years. I’ve had my car vandalize and broken into twice in the last year. We now have homeless vagrants living in the parking lot. None of the cameras work. The only thing management has done after multiple complaints is raise our rent this year. Don’t come here if you want to feel safe and secure.
