Haven at Birkdale Village

The Parcel Pending / Package Pickup could really be improved upon. I acknowledge that this is problem that persists due to the delivery services (Amazon & 3rd Party are probably the worst offenders). And I do know that the Leasing Team is working on ways to improve upon, as they have told me on several occasions, but just something to be aware of as a future resident. While this is a problem, I'd argue this isn't a reflection of the entire community, hence my rating (the community probably is a solid 4/5). The work that they've done on the community space, and green space has been a definite improvement! And I'll throw out that I genuinely feel that the new leasing team, Christine and Angela, do care about making a positive improvement.

The ladies in the leasing office are so nice and professional — they even know me by name, which really makes the community feel like home. Maintenance is amazing and always comes out no later than the next day to handle any requests. The grounds are clean and well-maintained, and I never have to worry about my packages — they’re always safe and secure. I truly appreciate how well this place is managed.

We lived at Birkdale for 5 months while we were waiting for our home to be built. From beginning to end Lauren and the rest of the team were amazing! They answered all of our questions and made sure we had everything we needed. Throughout the time we lived there they were very respectful of our space when the apartment needed maintenance. Even when the completion of our home was delayed, they made it easy to request a month to month extension. I can’t say enough good things about this company and their employees.

They deserve zero stars, but unfortunately, that’s not an option. In fact, they need to be investigated for negligence. We’ve been having issues since the very beginning. Garbage disposal= broken Dryer= broken. Thermostat=broken Water heater= not working Doorlock=broken The doorbell on the building’s door never worked. Maintenance repairs take forever and are fixed in the most mediocre way I’ve ever seen. It took them three attempts to fix the dryer. The carpet in the common areas is disgusting, and there are roaches everywhere. The hallways stink, and the balconies are poorly maintained and haven’t been cleaned in probably years. I am utterly disappointed with Birkdale's neglect to harbor safe living conditions for their tenants. I find it truly sad that after three months of being vocal, it now requires me to publicly share this information for any hope of change. Since I have lived here, their maintenance staff hasn't shown even the slightest concern to clean up where they work - parking aisles, parking spaces. They are constantly leaving screws, nails, trash, pieces of wood littered all around the tenant parking areas. I know fellow tenants who have received flat tires from this neglect and have had to take time off of work / coordinate rides because of this. It is unfair and honestly unacceptable that Birkdale is doing nothing about this after months of numerous complaints. SEPT 22 EDIT: Now we have cockroache
