H. A. Gill & Son

I lived in a Washington, D.C. H.A. Gill & Son managed property for nearly two years. I can say without a doubt that they have been the most attentive, respectful, and honest landlords I have encountered over the years. In any event I needed their support, they arrived quickly, completed worthy work and were fair in their determinations. If you are looking for a property management company or hoping to rent from H.H. & Gill, you’ll be in good hands with John Gill and his stellar team. I highly recommend them.

I have been a tenant with Gill & Son for the last 2.5 years and it has been a great experience in the DC renters market. There were a few minor issues with the apartment during move-in and throughout my stay and I've been impressed by the responsiveness and follow-through of the office. Think you'd be hard-pressed to find another management company more efficient in fixing any issues with units and renewing my lease has always been a breeze.

I have been a tenant with H.A. Gill & Sons since July. During our preliminary walk-through, the house seem to be in relatively good order. Once I actually moved in and inhabited the space, I was blown away by the amount of issues that plague this property. Primarily the windows, curtains needed changing and blinds have to be changed, Washer and had to be replaced, because the washer line is connected to the sewer line. So whenever a back up took place feces were all over my basement. Fence had to be fixed because it was all broken. Landscaping had not been done for at least two years. Basement frequently leaks, and floods with every rain storm. The toilet seats were not changed and actually had mildew growing on them. Nell and the rest of the team at H.A. Gill & Son are fantastic to work with. When it comes to properties in the DC area, H.A. Gill has been managing them since 1888. I highly recommend these guys!!

I didn’t not feel being treated as an valued client here. They charged me $50 for 2 burnt light bulb during move out, I’d appreciate the opportunity to replace them first if it doesn’t fall within the landlords responsibility to begin with.
