Groves At Sunset Apartments

I recently visited this apartment community to get a feel for the area and see if it would be a good fit. I had my work laptop with me as I walked around, admiring the nature, checking out the pool, and looking for the laundry facilities. While doing so, a leasing agent came outside and abruptly told us “no soliciting.” We politely explained multiple times that we were not soliciting — just exploring the community — and that the laptop I was carrying was for work. Despite this, she seemed confused and continued to act like she didn't understand. The entire interaction left a really bad impression. I have only been here for about a month, but so far, I have no complaints. Spacious (if not otherwise fairly average) apartments with pricing pretty standard for a decent apartment in Miami. The apartment I rented was very clean, with free fumigation services monthly. Maintenance and other issues are addressed promptly. Nice pool and weight room. Plenty of parking. Convenient location. Plus, they allow cats (sorry, no doggies). Very happy to be settled here. EDIT: I wrote this two and a half years ago and I'm still here and happy. Aside from all the above, I found the location to be convenient too. Super close to the Palmetto. Granted, previously I'd lived in West Kendall, where everything is a 40 minute drive, so take this as you will.

I lived for nine years at this apartment complex. I had quite a good experience. The rent is quite reasonable for the Miami market. The buildings and apartments are old, but if you want something more modern, be prepared to pay! The office staff was always nice and whenever I needed something fixed it was done quickly. I had to complain 2 or 3 times about very loud neighbors, but the problem was always dealt with. I did get my full deposit back after moving out. People, the trick to getting your deposit back is always paying your rent on time and leaving the apartment empty and clean when you leave. I spent 4 days cleaning my apartment literally from top to bottom after I moved out.

I’ve been here for almost 4 years with no complaints. Spacious apartments compared to the rest of south Florida and I dare you to find any other place that has this much square footage for the price they are charging. I saw a review of people complaining of infestation, that’s further from the truth. We have monthly visits and every apartment gets checked and sprayed down. Close to the palmetto, turnpike, very centralized location. Ample parking.

This place is hands down the best place we've ever rented in. I don't know why people are so picky, but no place is perfect and this place is very close to it. The parking is not perfect in any place and I feel like that's never going to change wherever you rent. All in all, this place is the best at maintenance, cleanest, and management is the best at their job. The repair men and cleaning crew are always there and always on time and prompt and I felt very much at home there. Leaving this place was One of the most toughest decisions I've had to make. I was very sad and very reluctant to leave, but it was time for us to grow. If I would ever have to pick another place to rent, I'd definitely return there.
