Greenbrier Apartments

I was a tenant at Greenbrier Apartments in Columbia, SC for five years. On December 29, 2025, approximately 6:30 p.m., I returned home to find my front door unlocked and my balcony door wide open. The balcony door could only be opened using the doorknob, ruling out wind as a cause. Upon inspecting the apartment, I found clumps of dirt on the kitchen floor, indicating unauthorized entry. Because this occurred after office hours, l contacted the leasing office the following morning, December 30. Between approximately 10:00 a.m. and the afternoon, I called roughly 75 times and received only two answers. I also emailed the office with photographic evidence. I am writing a negative feedback on review for the first time. I was expected to move by july 22 relocating from another state. As promised, I haev paid my deposit to the apartment, they didn’t had apartment ready and I was expected to join a New work place on july 24. They very well knew my situation and failed to make a communication. I came to town on july 22 still they didn’t had apartment ready and they didn’t replied to my emails. They keep blaming each other in leasing office, no one took a responsibility to get apartments for me. Because of them, I have to put my stuff in u-haul for a week and look for the apartment in this town again. I have terrible experience in New town. This was there fault but still refuse to pay back the application fee $75, they are greedy for money. They

Although there is a upside to Greenbrier and all of the staff is not awful. I do not recommend this place as a long term home. They do not value there residents Half of the amenities dont work The units are in need of serious repair. I have lived in Greenbrier 5 or 6 years. Sadly over time this place has fallen apart and it's even more sad the way they treat there residents when they do not honor there own lease terms. They dont take mold and water damage seriously but in return they only care about there rental payments not the conditions of the units.

This place is awful . DO NOT MOVE HERE !! This place is filthy. The laundry room at the apartment complex is nasty can’t go in there and wash your clothes . I asked for my apartment to be treated for bugs was not treated immediately. But when I went back up there to the office someone came to my house ! The linoleum floor had separated from the base flooring . I also asked them if they could remove my toilet seat because it was very disgusting. They told me they couldn’t remove it unless it is broken . The area outside of my apartment bulding is dirty and there are dresser drawers and furniture pieces in the natural area . I was not made aware of these deficiencies in my apartment until I moved in ! So today is March 25,2024 I came home at 3:33 and the people came to fix my floor .

Moving into this community was an incredibly smooth and well-managed experience.
