Great American Title Company

I called several days in advance to have a lienholder added to the transaction. They said they couldn't do it without an amortization schedule and suggested I contact an attorney prior to closing. Their fee was going to be almost $300 plus the attorney fee. Instead, I went to the Greene County Recorder's office after the closing and did exactly what I needed myself for $37.50. Sign on the door said they opened at 8:00 am so I was there at 8:02 am. No one showed up until 8:15 and they acted like they couldn't care less they were late. The actual closing itself was quick and smooth.

They are professional, reliable and the customer service they provide to our clients is excellent! Great American Title has been great on 100% of the closings I’ve done with them!

Worst experience ever. They screwed up the title work on a land purchase made in 2019. The neighbors with an adjoining property discovered the error and needed it corrected. Great American Title sent documents for review to correct the problem, which were also incorrect. They refused to cover the cost of having a lawyer review the documents. They then left me out of an email chain for 3 days and promptly told the neighbors I was refusing to sign. Not sure why I am just supposed to trust everything they do when it has been so messed up in the past.

An extremely great company, helped us buy our home. Handled every hard step and every small detail with efficiency. Plus, everyone is super respectful. 10/10 will recommend this company to any friend wanting to buy in MO

They got the job done, but thier communication was lacking. They said be there at 8am. Then the lady was 10 minutes late and irritated we were there because we weren't supposed to be there until later. She was the one who said be there at 8am. So maybe do appt cards so your employees remember thier appts better. She also insisted that she would call me asap when the keys were ready, she didn't. She emailed me which is unreliable when you are in a place with sketchy internet. I would not use them again and would not recommend them. Edit to add: They seem to have "lost" our check. I am under the impression that they just never mailed it, or never CALLED me to pick it up. Once again, unprofessional.
