I lived in Washington Heights for a little over a year and I didn’t have many problems. I had my doubts living in a pre-war building, but GP Properties made me feel at peace. Anything that happened (fridge was broken when I moved in, shower curtain rob breaking and accidental wall damage) the super was able to stop by within 24-48hrs and fix whatever. They use a portal system so you just fill out a form for maintenance requests. Also want to highlight my accounts manager, Madeline Calderon. She was great with communication and flexible with my move out date due to scheduling issues. Very grateful for her 🙏🏻

Gideon Platt was extremely disappointing. They were consistently unprofessional, dismissive, and condescending. Communication felt hostile rather than helpful, and basic respect was lacking throughout.

Worst management company ever. Extremely negligent. Went without heat and hot water on the coldest days of the year. This is the 5th time this has happened and nothing has been fixed.

We've been living at a GP apartment in Washington Heights for ~5 months, and have nothing but good things to say so far. We were able to rent directly through the owner (no broker fee), and his team has been responsive and helpful to any issue. Our couple of maintenance requests have been fulfilled within 24 hours (usually the same day), and some subtle improvements have been made to the building since we moved in. There was a minor roach infestation at first (common in old NYC buildings), but there's a free exterminator service. They treated the apartment twice, and now it's been weeks without any sign of pests. As far as we can tell, there's been no shadiness whatsoever. The key tag security system keeps the building quiet and safe. I recommend Gideon and his team!

291 E 3rd St, NY (East Village): Terrible landlords. Completely unhelpful and will not do anything for you once you sign a lease and pay them. I contacted multiple people in the company to help with the situation, and no one helped. Avoid at all cost. 1. We had an ant infestation in the apartment due to undisclosed water damage in the walls. After contacting management multiple times, they sent out an "exterminator" who simply was on of the building facilities managers who poured white powder along the ground. This had no effect. I had to move out of the apartment it was so bad. The worst part is they refused to reimburse me and charged full rent despite not providing me with a living space. Also the paint was lead (undisclosed) and there was a 5g tower right above our heads, with signs a
