Bought a house last month from Empire in Goodnight Ranch. To start, it was the best deal that was likely to happen in the South Austin area, very much the most bang for the buck. That said housing in general is overpriced right now considering the house sold for 380k, base land was worth about 250k with the improvements added per last years taxes. Having also now lived there for a month I can say that the kitchen, my main selling point, is in fact pretty awesome just like I wanted it to be. Gas stove top is just great. Overall construction has been pretty solid, there's definitely some super minor quality of paint edging type stuff that I notice every now and then but that's about it for the construction.
