Glenbrook Terrace

This is one off the few property apt renting complexes that have ripped people off and make the market tough for everyone. We as the community have power if we stand togethor and not allow companies like these to charge immense prices for tiny spaces, the fact that since 2022 they’ve been charging 2300 a month for a 1 bedroom apt is ridicules. It’s as they’re getting away with murder.

I recently moved out after almost 10 years of living here. When I moved in rent was $1325 for a two bedroom one bath. The grounds were maintained, the gates taken care of (if a gate was stuck or something had happened to it, it wouldn’t be more than 24 hours before it was fixed), the laundry facilities were opened, cleaned and working, security was on the grounds every night, and the office staff were kind and effective. By the time I moved out the rent was $2965 for the very same apartment, the ground maintenance was sub par at best, the laundry rooms all looked like people were living in them because in one case people were, there was no long security offered out side of an after hours number, people were urinating in the parking lots and in walk ways, shootings and stabbings on the prem

My complaints are the same as the people who reviewed these Apts 5, 6 years ago. Horrible management, units are falling apart. The car is getting towed multiple times. There's mold growing in the bathroom, which nobody has come to look into yet. Closet doors that are breaking? They have all these rules for the parking lot like don't park in reverse in any parking spot, even you're assigned one, no parking in the guest parking(you need specific guest parking permit), 2 permit parking stickers per household. There's households that appear to have 3, 4 cars that aren't getting towed. Which means they have permit stickers. Nobody follows these rules, I mean, I don't blame them they're absurd. AWFUL!!! DON'T MOVE HERE ITS DISGUSTINGLY AWFUL!!!! I I have had to deal with termites, two water leakage, there is never EVER parking, the water heater has broken a handful of times, the stove they gave us doesn't even work, the closets are always breaking. I have had my car broken into, a family members car stolen. The gate is always broken. There are always fights, the cops are here twice a month, all of our cars have been towed multiple times. Neighbors have parties and smoke pot and the neigbours upstairs sound like a they are having circus. I would not recommend living here!!! It's so noisy and everything is falling apart!

So I was first told the wrong address to where I lived which caused a month filled with phone tag with SDG&E as well as my cable provider. Management never answers the phone. Had plumbing issues 3 times in the little over a year my family and I were there. I would flush the toilet and all that nasty water would come up through the drain of my bath tub. Happend once then kept happening every month after that before we moved. So my wife calls about moving into a bigger place. Bet you can guess what happend... No answer. No call back. No email back. Nothing!! Not to mention the people that live there are pieces of work. Stay away from this place. If you do have to live here and I mean it better not be by choice... Stay Away From The M building!! The people who live in that building are scumba
