I lived in this apartment complex many years ago, and it left a lasting impression on me. I remember that many Chinese Visiting Scholars and University of North Carolina students lived in this complex. The environment was quiet and beautiful, the rent was reasonable, and the staff were very professional and friendly. The apartment complex was actually more like a row of townhouses. In short, I thoroughly enjoyed my time living there, and I hope to visit the place again when I have the chance to go to Chapel Hill.
Some people in this neighborhood don't pull back their trash bins and leave their trash bins on the pedestrian walk 7 days a week. When you walk back from the bus stop from work, you have to walk on the road sometimes because the pedestrian is taken by trash bins. Also, it smells bad. Some people litter. They don't care about their neighbors and litter the trash anywhere. The office and lease don't have any policy on the trash situation mentioned above. If you talk to the office about it, the office will tell you 1) to call the Chapel Hill City Trash, 2) pick the trash up yourself if you don't like it, and 3) it is not their responsibility. If you care about community cleanness, if you care about trash, I will NOT recommend you move in this apartment complex. Update on 8/21/2024: Some peo
Had cockroaches since Day 1. We hadn't even unpacked, and we saw one in the pantry. Black mold quickly developed to the point where we had to use a dehumidifier throughout the day. You definitely save a few dollars with the rent, but given the number of studies that show the negative health impacts of living with black mold and roaches, is it worth it? If I could go back in time, I would've selected somewhere else. My cat's health has dramatically improved since moving out, which supports our experiences.
I did not even want to leave a one star cuz it doesn’t deserve it but I want to leave my review. "My family and I lived here for four years. While the area was quiet, I cannot deny that the place was filthy and infested with insects. I have seen many negative reviews from others complaining about the same bug problem we faced. To make matters worse, everything in the house is low quality; things break down constantly. Every time we request a repair, the maintenance man comes in complaining and questioning us as if it’s our fault. He keeps grumbling about why things stopped working and accusing us of breaking them. Broooo Listen, just do your job and leave. Stop asking unnecessary questions and stop blaming the tenants for the poor quality of your appliances
They say you're the person that makes your house a home, but when it comes to living here it's definitely the office staff. They make me feel safe and address any issues. I have almost immediately the office staff is friendly and professional and they make me feel like family not a resident. I love living here. I highly recommend it. It's one of the few places where you're not required to make three times the amount of rent to live there. It's beautiful and quiet and it's definitely a place I can call home. A lot of people say an apartment isn't a home but it's is to me. I've lived in a lot of apartment complexes and dealt with a lot of management teams, but this one absolutely excels. I've renewed my lease once already and planning to do so many times. I highly recommend living here it's
