Glen at Lakewood

The short version: I'd dislike the place a lot less if I had paid DRASTICALLY less for it. Given the quality it offers its residents, one of their two bedrooms should be offering rent at less than $1000 a month. The long version: I lived here from November 2024 to August 2025. It’s rents are comparable to surrounding complexes, but it’s not really competing at their level. A non-exhaustive list of my personal complaints are as follows: 1. The apartment was not ready on my move-in date. 2. Maintenance requests took more than a week to be addressed. 3. The toilet clogged All The Time. 4. A third of the time residing here I had to obtain my mail from the Post Office as the mailboxes were broken and they didn't appear to be in any rush to fix them. 5. Not all the outlets in my apa

So far as a new resident I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with the office staff and maintenance. I won’t lie I read past reviews before moving in but my whole perspective changed when I addressed the negatives and I was completely reassured. Only con I’d like to point out is the buildings running on boilers. Yeah in the winter I want some heat but my apartment stays a constant 70 degrees and they only run the heat in the winter. I prefer to crank some A/C to ensure myself and my kitten don’t cook and leave windows open and a fan on the window sill when I’m home, I don’t feel all that comfortable leaving my windows open when I’m not home. I’d rather cool it off significantly before I have to leave for work rather than worry about if my baby boy is cooking or not, he stays with col

I am thrilled, I talked to the office manager Nikki less than 3 days ago about feces in the dog park, my disposal not working and a hole above my sink that was forgotten. Nikki went above and beyond, the dog park has been clean since that day, my disposal was fixed almost immediately and the whole was fixed today which is a holiday. Amazing hospitality, this is what apartment living should look like.

Final Review of The Glen at Lakewood Moving out on May 3rd felt like escaping a disaster zone. My year here was marked by one ignored safety hazard after another: • Mold growing behind cabinets (I have third-party test results you can see for yourself). • Water leaks that turned into mildew—maintenance requests went unanswered. • A break-in so severe they destroyed legal documents I’d given the manager as proof of their own code violations. Management’s negligence isn’t just careless—it’s dangerous. Emails detailing these issues were met with silence until I threatened legal action. Their online billing portal won’t show your account unless you hand over your SSN, then prompts you to call a mysterious number—clearly a scare tactic.
