Gillette Towers

While I agree with comments made about the parking, that would be my only issue living here. Yes there are a range of ages in the building, I had my birthday party in the community room where the building neighbors were invited to come in and have a drink and a dance. We also just had an ugly sweater pot luck open to everyone which was fun. We’re also holding a New Year’s Eve party open to both buildings in the community room. We have met some very lovely people here. No complaints about neighbors or staff. Everyone has been welcoming and accommodating

Hello, I must say I feel bad for the review I’m about to write, but I would feel even worse if I didn’t say anything about the way MELISSA has made my parent feel time and time again. I do not live with my parent but my parent expresses to me how she feels when she has these encounters with MELISSA. Time and time again, she always finds a way to make my parent feel unwanted and unwelcome. MELISSA speaks to my parent as if she’s a child. Melissa is very unprofessional and I cannot believe the owner’s have made this woman in control of the property. I would take it upon myself to confront MELISSA, but I assume nothing would get done about it. Management should always handle situations in a professional matter without emotions getting in the way. I moved into Gillette Towers in March 2021. At that time Todd was still there and indeed was the saint other people claimed him to be. Sadly, this was short lived as Todd quit not long after. The new management is nothing like Todd. Personally, I think she is in way over her head to manage two large buildings. The maintenance is now being done by an outside company who is not there every day. While the young man who is usually there is very nice, he isn’t there every day. The walls are paper thin so be prepared to hear EVERYTHING your neighbors are doing. Also, depending on what your concept of a 55 and over is you will either love it or hate it. I have been living at this community for the past 3 years. We are under a new administration and new management. There’s no rent control and the manager Melissa is very rude! I’m really destroyed by the way she’s managed this place! It used to be a great place where they care about the tenants. Know according to her the new owner wants everyone to be at the same pay no matter how many years you’re been leaving in the community! I’m a responsible tenant and I’m not happy and not sure what I’ll do! If you are planning to come in this place think about it specially if you have a budget.
