I give Townsend Apartments a 5 star because of one person, Amanda Taylor REGIONAL MANAGER GILLESPIE GROUP. She is a very wonderful a kind person and phenomenal manager. Amanda has true character and integrity. You rarely see that in a person who works for a management company . I'm so glad to be able to know her but also work with her when I have an issue here at the complex. She genuinely cares about all of the tenants here and Amanda truly listens and hears what you have to say. Amanda is a great problem solver when it comes to any issues you might have. Again Amanda is truly a kind and wonderful person. Never be afraid to call her with ypur issues. I also would like to mention the maintenance team. They are very kind and helpful. They do get very busy, but when they fix your issue

The owner should know how his property is run at Catalina Shores. My fiance' lives there, we are an interracial couple and the treatment that I have received from multiple staff members is not ideal for anyone. Maintenance has entered the apartment multiple times without a notice (Mark). I have worked in property management as a property manager and the way Catalina Shores is being run is not ideal. An example of the carelessness and time management of the property is when the roof was done. I watched as the 100 building and the 300 building had a roof installation winter 2024, the 200 building (fiance lives in this building) had a roof installation this summer 2025 August. If the wind picks up at Lofts at Square 45, expect your car to be damaged by carts from Dollar General :( still waiting for a follow up, but here is mine. Update: I guess Gillipse Group will not take accountability for having DG carts damage residential cars in the residential lot that we pay a parking pass for. I guess I’ll just have to park in customer parking instead because I don’t think I should have to run to my insurance company when this is a reoccurring issue. Gillipse Group leases out to Dollar General, they can prohibit carts behind the building (since the leasing manager here told me they once looked into that route).

Apartment itself is nice and spacious, but everything else is horrible. Office staff will not communicate no matter how many emails, voicemails, and messages you send. Maintenance half fixes everything, so you’ll have to call him to come back a few days later. They use a third party for insurance, so be prepared to have that messed up and be double charged if you don’t upload it the minute you renew. Neighbors are inconsiderate and loud. When it came time to renew, they tried to increase rent by $231. Horrible place
