The elevator has been down for a week now. I live on the 5th floor. People park in non parking spots in the parking lot. There are safety issues of people leaving doors propped open. Also, the water bill is very expensive, there is no real gauge as to how much water is consumed because there is no meter to measure for accuracy. I have lived here for 5 years and for this past year, there has been a mouse infestation, ruining food in the pantry and leaving droppings everywhere. The exterminator has been sent to my apartment and has not been successful in eliminating the problem. I would not recommend Gayley Park Apartments. Had to live there because it was affordable at the time, but not anymore. You pay for the location.
I lived in the C-Building at Gayley Park for one year, and I would not recommend signing a lease here. Media has many affordable apartment complexes, so I encourage you to explore other options in the area. To be fair, there are a couple of positives: (1) the property feels safe, which is important, and (2) the apartments offer a lot of square footage for the price. Unfortunately, these benefits don’t make up for the serious negatives that outweigh them. The biggest issue is the complete lack of accountability from the Maintenance team. Yes, it's an older building, but there seems to be ZERO effort to address major problems. For example, during heavy rain, water would pour into one of our bedrooms from both the window and ceiling (see the attached photo from just one of the nights; I was
We lived in building B for almost 2 years- and overall had a positive experience. Our apartment had been newly updated prior to move in. Parking was always pretty easy, and we very rarely any noise issues. Only cons would be you need to provide your own AC for the bedroom, as there is only a unit provided in the living room. I don’t know if this has changed. We were on the 4th floor and never had to turn on our heat. The halls sometimes did have an odor but nothing ever permeated into our apartment. We had no pests or bugs and never saw a single mouse, however we do have a cat. The shared laundry was typically accessible and all transactions were easy via an app. Definitely not luxury by any means but if you need a simple apartment for a reasonable price it was doable for us.
I couldn't recommend Gayley Apartments enough! We have been here for almost 4 years and have absolutely loved it! Great location, very clean, and management is very nice and quick to respond! We planned on moving out of media beginning of December but last minute had to bail due to it being a scam. Gayley was very understanding with our situation and immediately helped us find another apartment to move in since someone already planned to into ours. They were able to show us 3 available apartment IMMEDIATELY and once we picked which one we wanted to move into they made sure it was cleaned and ready for within a week so we wouldn’t be stuck without a place to live. We couldn’t be happier we decided to stay! Blessing in a disguise! They are the best!!!
Lived here for a year, there was aspects of the apartment I liked and it wasn’t unsafe but a complete lack of accountability with fixing any problem a within the apartment. I had a banging radiator which kept me up through the entire winter and my roommate had water pouring in through his ceiling. With the radiator they would say maintenance was done with nobody ever coming to the apartment and ever fixing the problem. With the water pouring through the ceiling as soon as they realized it wasn’t a structural concern (just water pouring all over the ground and our personal belongings) they were quick to leave. Also, I was told that their wouldn’t be damage to the ceiling because it’s a “concrete ceiling” I don’t believe there will be any effort to dry out the ceiling or wall which only make
