Gateway West Luxury Apartments

I have lived here for close to two years and I overall enjoy it. Ashton and the leasing office staff is friendly and collaborative and I personally never had any serious issues, plus the rent prices are good for the area. My only negatives would be that the common areas are sometimes dirty probably due to there only being one cleaning lady for the entire building and the several fire alarms that went off a couple weeks ago.

Overall I like the place close to work and I can come home on break a win for me. The units are nice love the hardwood flooring throughout. The price is ok I mean for what I pay for so I can’t complain much but the 😬😬😬downside uptown homelessness all over and including this property they are in the lower garage and often be in the halls late at night and our bathroom and game room but I keep my doors locked and alert at all times management I personally haven’t had a problem with management tend to just to the office if I have issues and ask my question and get answers but other than that place is ok I mean it’s uptown Charlotte

If you are looking for cheap rent and a solid location, this place is fine. If you want updated amenities that actually work, a staff that do their jobs and do not have to be reminded a million times about everything, clean hallways that smell normal, and want your apartment cleaned before you move in, this is NOT the place for you. Additionally, all of our smoke detectors were expired way before we moved in and two were not working at all. If you come for a tour, ask when the last time they have been changed, for your own safety. The person who manages the building is never here either.

Recently moved to Charlotte from out of state. I toured almost 20 apartment complexes in the Uptown, NoDa, SouthEnd, and Plaza Midwood areas. I decided on Gateway West due to its central location, value for price, and the apartment unit. Josh and his team have been nothing but accommodating, quickly corrected a maintenance concern upon move-in, and have been readily available to answer questions via phone or email from afar. There are newer apartment complexes in the area, but none that can meet the value for rent (most are several hundred dollars more a month for some higher end finishes). My unit was clean upon move in and well updated. In the short time I have been there (2 weeks), I have witnessed housekeeping cleaning the floors and entire facility daily. Waow the audacity to post this survey right after yet another current fire alarm. Always posting violation charges every month that I need to come down in person to fix because your website don’t work. The nastiness of the community is insane, and nothing is being done. Trash barely picked up (prior to the snow) so paying for a service that’s barely provided. $15 amenity fee when the amenity have gotten worse. More than a year after I asked to get clean water at the gym is crazy too. I am probably forgetting stuff. But anyway I digress and waiting for this unluxurious lease to be over done.
