Gateway on Cullen Student Living Apartments

This apartment complex is very dirty, you can be the most cleanest person ever and there will still be lots of roaches and mice’s. There are lots of baby mice’s.Plenty of nats. Everything is always broken. I still have a leak in my ceiling. They tell you misleading information that will get your car towed. Your car will get towed even if it is registered because they tell you some different every time. They still don’t have mail box keys. And if your going to college and don’t have a car, definitely don’t move here because the shuttle never works.The elevator always broken.They don’t email you back. They sometimes pop up unannounced.The gym Is falling apart, some of the equipments does not work.They also dont answer the phone.The pool is always closed and the gate is always broken. Everyth

If I could rate 0 stars, I would. The insurmountable amount of unprofessional management obstacles, disgusting living conditions, and life threatening scenarios at the apartment complex puts a heavy strain on your finances, career, and health. Shootings are a common occurrence, with the worst occurring at a pool party in April 2024, resulting in two people in near death conditions. Towing is far too common and conducted by a third party business scam. Management claims to not be liable for towing, even after you purchase a parking permit every month. Burglaries and car break-ins are to be expected. I really like parties, but the parties at Gateway are unwelcoming, loud, and dangerous. They’re never fun, just underage kids awkwardly dancing and talking to themselves, everyone drinking or sm

The new maintenance staff has been doing a good job fixing everything. Whenever I have a request, they take care of it as soon as possible. The valet trash service has helped with trash on the property a lot and they have a housekeeper that is helping keep the common areas, gym and clubhouse clean. I’m starting to enjoy living here

I moved to Gateway on Cullen August 2020 and this is what I've experienced....They have changed management 5 different times, ensured me during my tour in 2020 that the pool would be cleaned by the next week....to this day it is still green, door handles are missing on most doors/gates, stairways are covered with trash/ bugs and smells like shit (some days you cant use the stairs because it covers the walkways), the whole place is infested with bugs/roaches (Terminix is always parked outside) when I moved to another unit, me and my roommates had to clean the whole place ourselves due to the shitty cleaning job done, they will knock once or not at all before entering your unit. They walked in on me taking a shower 3 times...when you can clearly hear the water running, yes it is close to UH.

Ariel, Jerry, and Shemaiah have been so great and helpful for my roommates and I on making sure our apartment appliances are working properly. I know from reviews that past management has not been good, but these three have made great progress on turning that around! My questions are always answered and maintenance has been coming in a timely manner whenever my unit needs something. They also have been implementing security measures that ensure we get the correct packages, which I greatly appreciate. Overall, I haven’t had any bad experiences with them and am optimistic for the rest of my lease!
