Gateway Lofts

I have loved living here. Great amenities and quiet. Maintenance is super responsive. Would have 5 stars if they were more accommodating with their residents and leasing terms. I am moving out of the city and wanted to end my lease a month early. I was told they don’t accommodate this and I’d have to pay 2 months rent for ending the lease a month earlier than expected. I totally understand that was the policy I signed for, but the extra flexibility I have received from other apartments in the past with moving has gone the extra mile.

I have lived here for 4 years. It was GREAT when we first moved here. Things have drastically changed through out that time. They recently changed management and we got billed double our rent. This has never happened before, we have tried contacting the office management but they have been unresponsive. The cleanliness surrounding the apartment is disgusting. There is dog poop everywhere and dog pee immediately right outside the door to leave. Half the time the coffee machine is broken, the last time I tried to use it only water came out. The trash situation is also a disaster. You can see the pile up in previous reviews- that is a common occurrence. It’s really sad because this place was great when we first moved in.

The garbage service is completely useless. I'm paying for garbage collection and they still don't pick it up. They leave a note on my door saying the bag is too big when it's neither big nor heavy. It seems like they put a child in charge who can't carry a garbage bag, or what's going on? This has happened many times, and apparently I'm not the only one with this problem. People are even having to leave their own garbage out, even though they're paying for the service, and it's just piling up at the entrance because of this issue.

Pros: Front office staff and maintenance staff are super nice. Great location next to the quarry trails. Pool is very nice and well kept. Price is reasonable for what you get. Cons: Overall cleanliness of this location is lacking. Constant spills and trash in the hallway. Sticky elevators and messy common areas. Trash area has been overflowing into the parking lot on occasions (picture attached). The amount of dog waste in the grass surrounding the building is ridiculous. This is not the staffs fault, more of a resident issue, but still it is extremely unpleasant as it is everywhere. Good luck, taking your dog into the grass (I’ll spare you the pictures on this one) The package room has had issues since I have moved here two years ago. This is an amazing 👏🏾 place to live! Wish my wife worked here so she could provide first hand accounts of what it's like to be in this environment! Our staff is all 10/10. The property is gorgeous. Gym. Pool. Clubhouse. And that's just the first floor! (Mic Perkins) I'd love to work here! Lol 😆
