Gardenbrook Apartments

This is a very low income apartment. The windows are old and need replacement. I know it's costing me more to heat. Holes in wall, roaches, improper maintenance. None of any repair or instalation is done to code or even inspected. If you rent her, expect bad plumbing, bad windows, bad appliances, bad management. If you ask to get something repaired, it will be repaired by someone who barley knows what he is doing. If you complain to the management about anything, especially heath related they will either evict you or not renew your lease. I'm moving ASAP. I have never lived in such crap. I was forced out of my home and had no choice at the time but rent from here. My whole time in the military living conditions wasn't this bad. DO NOT RENT HERE UNLESS YOU HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE.

The apartment complex was pretty average. Maintenance was good. However the place is relatively run down and dirty. We had mold in multiple locations that were never addressed. After we left we got billed for several different ridiculous things including things that were already broken or dirty when we arrived. Awhile living there we experienced a domestic dispute that involved gun shots. The property manager was not helpful at all and was usually rude. Most of my concerns were ignored. Not worth the hassle to deal with.

I don't recommend this place. We had drug dealer neighbors and they were always fighting. The staff would not evict them. The place was falling apart and maintenance was a joke. Our heating and air unit was blowing out just air but not cool air in the summer. It was so hot but we were told they would not replace the HVAC system till it completely broke! Water was seeping in through the sliding glass door when it rained and ruined a wooden end table before I realized what was happening. A pipe to our toilet broke while we were out and we came home to find out the unit below us was flooded and our carpets were soaked. Oh,and their answer to mold in the breezeway/stairway in the back of our apartment,was covering it up with paint. Overall, this apartment attracted shady people. The only pros

I have lived here for almost a year and the residents as well as the staff are very friendly. The staff is very quick to help with anything you need. The apartment is located right in the middle of Columbus so you have so many options for schools, churches, and outings. I have recommended Gardenbrook to many for the spacious living quarters, great pool area, fantastic price, as well as location. I plan on being here for many years to come!

For such a small complex, it's sad I feel a cop needs to be surveying the place every night. I've never seen a place where so many residents like to just hang out in the parking lot at odd hours of the night, oftentimes not being quiet about it, either. The apartments themselves are in need of upgrades, big time. You get what you pay for here. Our one bedroom unit had a known tendency to flood when it rained, which both the maintenance crew and the Columbus carpet cleaners informed us of, yet they allowed people to rent the unit out anyway. They offered us to move into an available two bedroom unit, then increased our rent even though the flooding caused us to move. Since moving into that unit, nearly every appliance has broken on us.
