Garden Gate Apartments

No one cleans up after their dogs. It's disgusting. There is a homeless person situation there. It's not a bad complex. However there should be security and some focus on the dig mess and the kids that hang around and make trash. Lots of trash around the complex.

The complex entered into an agreement with a towing company which charges guests to pay ($22.27 per visit) after the 2nd visit. As a resident who pays rent to live here, I find it completely unreasonable to expect people to pay to visit me. When I brought up my concern to management, I received a dismissive and derisive response (as usual). I've lived here since 2021 and have tolerated many questionable policies/practices in this complex but this is the last straw for me. I'm turning in my notice to vacate as a result of this exploitative parking policy. As a social worker, it pains me to see the exploitation and mistreatment of vulnerable populations. My mother lived in this apartment complex for four years, and what started out as a livable space quickly turned into a nightmare. After previous tenants moved out of the unit above, she began experiencing a severe roach infestation that got progressively worse. Despite weekly maintenance requests for over two months, the issue was never resolved. Management was fully aware of the situation, I personally watched a crew in hazmat suits clean the unit above me — yet she was told it wasn’t “technically” her unit with the infestation, so it wasn’t their responsibility. The response from the office manager was not only dismissive but also borderline hostile. DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!! The price is very tempting but do not move here under any circumstances. They are roach infested in a majority of the buildings and the management claims that there is nothing they can do. We had pest control coming weekly and still had an infestation of roaches! When we mentioned this to the apartment management, they stated that we were lying and that we could not prove there was an infestation only a “regular” amount of roaches (to which the actual exterminators/pest control will disagree with) Please, please, please do not move here. My son visits me a lot this summer and the tow company that Garden Gate uses charges residence guests to park there. So basically there telling us that we can’t have visitors stay over night any more than two times, without being charged for it. This is very very very wrong.
