Horrible. They charged me bogus fees when I moved out. Hence they didn’t return my deposit and said I owed them money. I believe they charged me $200 for carpet cleaning, but the carpet was completely fine. I don’t wanna blame the front desk but whoever is in charge of the apartments are complete clowns and lack integrity. Pathetic

I lived at McCallum’s at Gables from 2021 to 2025, always paid rent on time, and followed all lease terms. I gave proper notice to move out and extended my stay by 3 days at their request. I was told extra charges would be deducted from my deposit. After move-out, I never got a refund or bill, despite multiple follow-ups. Months later, I found a negative mark on my credit, dropping my score by over 140 points—without any prior notice. I’ve filed disputes and complaints. Renters, be cautious. Poor communication and a lack of accountability here can cost you.

Poor Management & Unacceptable Living Conditions I regret to say that my experience at this property was deeply disappointing. Below are the key issues I encountered during my tenancy: 1. Management & Communication Failures The office staff frequently miscommunicated due to language barriers, making it difficult to resolve issues. The property manager was consistently unavailable, even when urgent matters required attention. Despite multiple requests, she refused to meet in person, and staff often claimed she was "not present." 2. Maintenance & Living Conditions The apartment had persistent pest issues (roaches) and unpleasant odors that were never properly addressed. I’ve had a wonderful experience living here, and much of that is due to the fantastic management team! AM Mayra is always professional, responsive and genuinely cares about the residents. Whenever I’ve had any questions or maintenance requests, they’ve been handled promptly. My concerns are always addressed in a timely manner. I really appreciate the attention to detail and the effort Mayra creates for a welcoming and safe environment. It’s clear Mayra takes pride in ensuring residents are comfortable and happy here!!

Overall good experience with the complex over the last few years. When I originally moved into the complex there was a huge issue with being able to find parking(occasionally I work late night shifts so get home very late, and the lot would be absolutely full, on more than a couple occasions I had to park at the nearby PetSmart and walk). Over the last 2 years there was a huge crack down on parking which is ultimately what my review is about today, and has resulted in it being much easier to find parking. The new system permits each apartment to have 2 vehicles registered to the apartment. 1 purple pass for the main covered parking, and a 2nd blue pass for the outer wall parking. Guest parking passes were also added by the office to help mitigate the abuse of guest parking. The Assistant
