Forest Park Apartments

Forest Park Apartments, like many in the area, dates back to the 1960s, which means it has its quirks. However, what sets it apart is the cozy gated community atmosphere that feels genuinely welcoming. The older infrastructure does come with its challenges, particularly with plumbing, which unfortunately can't be easily modernized without a complete rebuild. During our eight-month stay (initial lease is six months, then month-to-month), we appreciated the unique features of each unit, such as my lucky find with an in-unit washer/dryer, though each building also has shared laundry rooms. My unit had a quaint patio and updated vanity, but the kitchen appliances were older models like a gas stove and an 80s-style top freezer fridge. Very lush, beautiful nice and calming apartment complex that has by far one of the safest places to be in with nice people. Quiet, comfortable and relaxing to feel the combination of living in a forest in the city! Hummingbirds come and go as well as other kinds of peaceful creatures. I would definitely recommend to people. Only issue I have with this place is that is does not contain a way to do recycling here, but hopefully it’ll reach to them for that small issue and fix that.

Everything good left in 2020. Getting ahold of anyone is a joke, they didn't want to honor my lease, and they sent my deposit to the wrong address and it took 4 weeks to get to me. If you try to rent 33c, best of luck. The AC has issues that they refused to fix. Needs to be cleaned out because the drain overflows when it goes from super hot to rainy weather. There's mold in the walls because they filled up with water and maintenance didnt want to do anything about it. I was very sick all the time and feel this was the culprit. Only pro was rent was 806.47.

I have lived in four different units over the course of about 12 or 13 years and I cannot say enough nice things about living here! The security after hours is great. Maintenance will fix whatever you ask, almost always the same day. They will install your wall mount for your television, help hang your Christmas lights, move your coaxial jack, whatever. The staff in the rental office are very kind and helpful. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous! I have a patio home type unit now, and if you pay a little extra, they will send the gardener over to clean the back yard. I spent most of my life as a homeowner, but I travel a great deal for work and just love that my place is worry free in my absence. I lived her for close to 5 years. Yes management changed and it was a bit jarring. However I still feel the pros outweighed the cons. Initially the management change seemed a lot about greed and not carrying about the magic of this location. However I feel that they pulled back on that this last year (mid 2023) but that's just my perception. They offer overnight security that routinely do drive arounds. The location is gated and it isn't easy getting in (or out) without keys or fobs. There's a lot of trees and shaded parking, great for summers here. It's quiet. They have a mailroom now so packages rarely get misplaced (some shippers just drop them off at the gate...) it's rare but it happens. Pool area is nice and relaxing. Laundry is all over the complex and it's free. Rent is affordable.
