I cannot wait to leave this property!!! In the 2 years I have lived here we have dealt with package theft, there have been events hosted that go to all hours of the morning. Management is probably the worst I have ever dealt with. Cute, loft-style properties but you have been warned!

DO NOT rent from a property managed by The Flats. They are the absolute worst at being accountable to their residents. Everyone I've interacted with has been rude and unaccommodating for very simple requests like a key replacement. When I did have a serious issue (all elevators being down for over 24 hours), they made fun of the concern as it was only an eleven story building. I'm sorry, but not every one is privileged enough to be able to walk up 11 flights of stairs. The Flats is one of the worst property groups in Chicago and they *deserve* to be sued.

The maintenance team of Sedit and Jim at the Lawrence House is amazing! They quickly resolved my washer issue within less than 24 hours of reporting and helped ensure that no water damage was done to my items in the apartment. They are quick, efficient, thorough and extremely communicative about the process of what they are doing. Thank you again!

The management is an absolute joke, with zero accountability. I've only been able to have contact with one employee, and it was minimal and then nonexistent. There is no one else to contact to let them know their employee is not doing his job at all in any way. Moving from a unit owned by an individual to renting from this shell of a company was one of worst choices I've ever made. Please save yourself from this headache and heartache and do NOT seek housing from and Flats buildings.

The apartment space is small but they are nice. I like all my neighbors I've met so far and the security into the building and floors is great. However, the maintenance and management is NOT good. You could call them for an emergency maintenance order and it will take them a week. I've had 2 refrigerator issues (not my fault either: 1 compressor went out, and the other frig flat out didn't work and they had to send it back under warranty and were baffled how it was faulty). I had to call 4x and leave 2 online requests before someone finally came out. I lost $200 worth of food and they wouldn't credit me, let alone respond to my email politely asking for a credit. On top of that I picked a time and date for window cleaning, a benefit they provided, and they never showed up for my scheduled
