Our closing was delayed because First Texas decided to switch to a new computer system the week of our closing—without notifying us or our realtor. We only found out when WE called to confirm they received a document and they casually mentioned that we could no longer close on our scheduled day. We had already scheduled our movers for the day before closing and reserved and paid for an Airbnb that we would need to stay in to make sure the new buyers could move in. The only acknowledgement that was made that closing would be moved that week was in a fb post that I went and searched after the fact. Proper rescheduling should have involved calling any scheduled appointments way ahead of time for notice of the changes. Even with extra time due to prior delays, they requested documents from us

Initial communication and service seemed good. As things progressed the communication became non existent. Took over 60 days to close on a lien free property which seems a bit excessive. Will use a different title company next purchase…not impressed with First Texas Title.

When my mother passed away intestate, a few years ago, I had no idea how to have her house title transferred to me. First Texas Title made things so super easy for me. They explained things very well and went above and beyond to help me during this rough point in my life.
