I am writing this review to document an extremely frustrating and unprofessional experience I had while disputing incorrect move-out charges on my account. After moving out on time and by the end of my lease, I was suddenly contacted and told I owed $4,577.66, largely due to an alleged failure to provide a 60-day notice to vacate. This was shocking, as I did provide written notice back in July and retained a copy of that notice for my records. Despite providing: A copy of the original notice to vacate Timestamped communication confirming my move-out timeline Repeated explanations that the notice was delivered in person to the office I was told repeatedly that because the office “does not have it on file,” I am responsible for thousands of dollars in penalties. My first apartment rental in Lafayette, LA @Bayou Oaks. Showing was wonderful. After moving on my 2nd night at about 3 or 4 a.m. maintenance was pounding on my door like police. He was at the wrong apartment or was he intoxicated. Mix up by the answering service!!! No one call me to let me know I called the office the next day. At which time I was advised there was a noise complaint. Unfortunately I have a 9 and 11 year old and they walk around like normal human beings. They weigh 70 and 80 pounds. My neighbor has roof shingles on his porch for 1 year. My rent has always been paid on time never late. No one wears uniforms that works on this property not maintenance not anyone. Warning to all, do not live at any of their places. They do not keep th places up, find random shit to constantly add to your rent charges, and never fix anything. They never contact you back. They newest money hustle is to make to set up a stupid pet screening account that charges you $30 per animal and you have to renew it each year. I hate this company.

There is so much to say about First Choice management Co/Encore apartments. We moved in during July, and it has been a nightmare ever since. Someone taking our trash can and multiple maintenance request that was not fixed or did not care to put in the time or effort to resolve the issue. My latest issue is them towing my car without any notice, warning, or resolution of helping me getting it back. I have been up to date on rent, I respect my community/neighbors, and do not make a big fuss when maintenance basically says they do not see anything wrong or do not fix the issues around our apartment. I called 911 panicking thinking someone stole my car, but nope its just the apartment complex towing it for no parking sticker. I have not once heard anything or been given a sticker until the day

I wish I could leave zero stars. These are the mangers of Latitude 30 apartments in Baton Rouge LA. I was told by the leasing agent/manager that I would get my $300 deposit back during my application on an apartment I had never seen. This deposit is necessary to submit the application, I thought nothing of it because I thought they seemed reputable. The application says if they approve you and you don't take the apartment you forfeit your application deposit. It's in the smallest print possible in the terms an conditions. Check their questions and answer. They have done this before. Once I looked at the apartment I noticed the area in question looked sketchy and the door to the closet fell off during my visit. Also I should mention they moved the day I was supposed to look at the apartmen
