On 12/17 we closed on our new home. The title company received a check at closing and were responsible to submit payment to our home warranty and insurance company. On 12/19, I had to contact the home warranty company, the hot water tank (which is a covered item) went out. I was told that payment had not been received, therefore, I could not file a claim because I technically didn't have a warranty yet. I called First American that same day and was told that a check was sent via snail mail. On 12/23, I started getting notices from our flood insurance company that our policy was at-risk due to nonpayment. I contacted the company and she stated that a check was sent to the flood insurance and should have not been cancelled. I called the home warranty company back on 12/27, they still had

The team at First American Title provided great service. During our closing, the notary had questions that usually could have delayed the closing. But, the team was immediately responsive and we moved forward without issue!

Wow. Do NOT go with this insurance company. When I got my apartment, I was basically forced to choose them and while the rate was sort of low, the process to get insured was so ridiculous. When I finally moved out I was continuously billed from them, even after they were notified that I moved. I moved back in with my parents, so I was no longer renting, but they said they wouldn't refund me my money unless I could proved I have coverage from another renter insurance company. It is quite a cute little scheme of theirs to get some extra bucks! I have NEVER heard of such a thing. And the woman I spoke to was completely rude and blamed me over and over for THEIR mistake. Avoid this horrible company at all costs! They will practically steal your money!
