I’ve been a resident at the Huffman for about 6 years and I like it here. Maintenance is busy but they always get to you in a timely manner. The walls are thin but it’s downtown with several bars, shops, and event spaces and I enjoy the “sounds of the city”. My only issue is the turnover rate for the leasing office makes it difficult to know who to contact for non-maintenance issues and they’re not great with getting back to you. I’ve not had any issues with people stealing but some deliveries don’t make it or are marked as delivered and they’ll jus sit boxes either outside the front door on 3rd or they’ll sit them in the back parking lot. With all that being said I don’t plan on moving and if you’re looking for that city vibe then it’s perfect! It’s within walking distance of everything
Great overall experience living here. Maintenance is busy but has done a great job with all of my requests. Things to know: -neighbors are all friendly -freight elevator is not functional -parking lot in the back is not secured, anyone can walk through, however I've never had issues getting a spot -relatively thin walls
The units are very pretty. I have lived here for years. Maintenance team especially Thomas is wonderful. Management team is however not on top of resolving issues sometimes.
You will smell weed all the time. Someone stole a $60 bottle of bourbon out of my dad's truck when we were loading my car. I have to listen to my neighbor's music all the time. I've made several complaints about their music. I've pounded on the walls. I hear their arguments. It's draining financially and mentally to live here.
If you’re in the military do not live here. They will guilt trip you for ending lease with military orders and will do everything they can to screw you over. I’ve called the management months in advance to inform them of a potential move and emailed them my orders once I received it. I was then told “these hurt us” as if I have a choice to move or not in active duty. I explained that I had informed the leasing office months in advance and I received no response since. Instead, I was charged for the month I did not live in! I moved all of my stuff out on the last Friday of February and since their office was CLOSED when they were supposed to be open, I returned my keys on the following business day which was Monday, March 3. And now because it was already March, I was charged for an entire
