In 2025 there are WAY better places to invest than Fidelity. They will freeze your account with no notice because they “can”. At least call your customer of 15 years to guide them through how we can get our money out without liquidating our investments. Now we have to spend our weekend seeing if Fidelity will even work with us with transferring our money to Schwab. I doubt it based on how arrogant and unhelpful their staff is. Unbelievable.

Avoid at all costs, I’m filing a FINRA complaint: Opened my account earlier this year here and after a week they froze my account and held all my savings for two months without any reason or prior notification. I had to make 20+ phone calls and send whatever different documents they wanted from me because their customer service agents were being so rude and inconsistent. They thought they were so entitled by repeating “Fidelity has the right to end their relationship with any customer at any time with any reason”. I don’t want to have a relationship with you either just return my money and I will never have any business with any of you. Absolutely the most disgusting brokerage I have dealt with.

I transferred $4000 for my Fidelity HSA in order to pay for an upcoming surgery. Th website indicates 3 days before funds are available. The funds were not available as promised. So I called. Fidelity told me that the funds will not be available for 3 WEEKS! They have a new policy supposedly to combat fraud. My $4000 is now held hostage and is not available for my surgery. Fidelity did not notify us of this change nor does the website indicate this new 3 week hold policy. All the representatives (including. Manager) could say was “We’re sorry.” No solutions offered. Fidelity has a VERY unhappy customer.

We have some Money with these Guys for many years we purchased a Annuity From Fidelity for NY Life !! Now It came to term & we wanted it to go Back to the Trust acct Now 100% of our Cash is on hold for 10-12 business days !! Transferring From NY life back to Fidelity !! We wanted to access $5k They said No you must wait !!! SCREW FIDELITY Don’t keep your Money Here !! Lesson Learned ( we just wanted $5k ) we have more than 60x that that with them … Management is Stupid !! They Forget who’s Money it Belongs Too !! Holding People Hostage from their Hard earned Cash is Bad Business !!
