I really wanted to refrain from writing a poor review because, to be fair, there are some solid perks to living here. The super and maintenance staff are absolutely wonderful — responsive, kind, and genuinely do their best. The building itself is almost always immaculate, and the shared/community spaces are generally pretty chill and well maintained. The gym could definitely be better equipped given the price point, but it’s still nice to have as a convenience. That said, there are some ongoing issues that significantly impact quality of life. Construction has been taking place in the retail unit on the first floor for well over four months now (starting in early October). The notice was very sudden, and management has not done a great job communicating a reliable or realistic timeline. B

I originally rated this apartment complex 5 stars because I enjoy the unit itself, the amenities are generally nice (though the sauna could be hotter and the gym better equipped), and the Porters and Super are wonderful. However, my experience with the management team and building owner has been disappointing, prompting me to revise my review. Last year, management was largely unresponsive to repeated inquiries about an “Electrical Utilities Fee” that was not disclosed in our initial lease. The fee was an unexpected and significant upcharge that took several months—and multiple tenant complaints—to address. While the overcharge was eventually corrected, the fee still remains a separate charge in addition to our rent and Con Edison bill. Management’s lack of responsiveness to billing concer

So I want to give this building more stars because the positives of the gym, the light in the units, the shower pressure and the sauna are quite nice. The cleaning crew is also lovely and very kind and diligent. The negatives are all around the noise and the lack of respect of other tenants. First of all the ground floor construction has been forever. There is a massively loud grinding mechanical noise I can’t quite figure out what it is or when it will stop. We are across the street from the Alps Provisions warehouse which decides to empty their four dumpsters at 2:30-4am nightly and 311 does nothing. Management says “call 311.” Next there is Murphy’s Bar which is the worst place on earth to live next to. The endless times I’ve complained about music, screaming, patrons smoking and throwi

People smoking constantly inside their apartments and the smoke travels to other units. No smoking policy in building is not being followed. We are basically inhaling cannabis and cigarette smoke for hours on some days. Issue ongoing since December 2024 without resolve. Update: No resolve on smokers. For the past 3 months, we have also been enduring daily (mon-sat) drilling and jackhammering from the construction occurring on the ground floor. Management does not compensate for loss of use, noise, disturbance or unsafe conditions. You are left to suffer while they claim to be handling matters that are never resolved. Management also adds utility charges to tenant rent even though we pay our utilities separately. These charges are hundreds of dollars and there is no breakdown of usage e

LANDLORD IS NEGLIGENT in enforcing the no smoking policy. We are so tired of smelling smoke while sleeping or coming home from work to a smoke filled bedroom. This is a breach of my lease and health hazard. Tenants are chain smoking weed and cigarettes inside units. If you want to pay the high cost in a luxury building to have your environment destroyed by secondhand smoke DO NOT move here. Management will do nothing at all to provide you with a SMOKE FREE apt as stated in the lease. It’s obvious who is doing the smoking but they refuse to take any action. Also huge piles (like 50-100 not even kidding) of dog shit on both sides of building. These tenants have no respect for other tenants and do not clean up after there animals which is breaching the lease terms. Non stop jack hammering
