I had a disappointing experience with Lee, the leasing agent for a property in North Carolina. When I first spoke with him on a Sunday, he made it clear he was calling outside his normal working hours. I got approved and was ready to move forward, but I was firm on my budget. I asked if the landlords would consider lowering the rent, and Lee said he didn’t think they would, but never followed up with me the second time. Now, 2½ months after I applied, the rent is $150 cheaper—definitely within my budget. Overall, he was stern, unfriendly, and not very customer-focused.

This is a slum landlord company. I do not rent from them but I have family that does The house is a death trap. The property managment company, (Evernest property management) became unresponsive as soon as they moved in. Unfortunately, they moved in on October 1, and the home was not in complete working order. There were several nonworking lights and outlets, a non-working toilet, backed up bathtubs, a washing machine that was unusable because it was covered in black mold on the inside. All of which was reported to evernest within three days of us moving in.They have pursued them multiple times via email and phone call to rectify the situation as it is a potential health hazard with the black mold.
