We have had our new home for over 3 years now, and I waited on purpose to give an appropriate review, We are in love with our house, the neighborhood they developed, and the response time on the very few warranty repairs we had! Between the agent Dana Jones, our contact person Chris Justice, and the warranty department, we feel they always had our interest in mind and always did the right thing! I can't see us moving anytime soon but we would defiantly recommend Essex and would buy another Essex home without reservations! If you are reading this review, don't hesitate on this company!

We are new to North Carolina. Have lived in upstate New York all of our lives. We struggled to find a house that was just what we were looking for. When we found the Belle Grove Manor neighborhood in Mint Hill it was just what we were looking for. We wanted a large yard. We were the first ones in the neighborhood and Essex has been very accommodating to us, understanding the constant construction that we have been enduring. We have also been pleased with the overall quality and workmanship. And when we have had any issues at all they have been very responsive and worked with us to resolve any issues. We love the house and the floor plan. And we would definitely recommend Essex to anyone who is looking to build a home.

We have lived in many houses in our careers This is our 3rd new home and by far is the best one yet. Working with the realtor, builders, and foreman was one the best parts of the experience. Such a friendly and understanding crew. Answered all of our questions and fixed every little issue with professionalism and gusto. Buyers beware of Stanley Martin (formally known as Essex). We just closed on our house and it's not worth paper it's listed on. We feel cheated and deceived by the sales lady, neighbor good manager and region. We kept hearing everything will be fixed in the end. They never fixed the following: Uneven flooring and loose boards (redone twice and its still not level through the house) Paint on new cabinets Loose drain spouts outside of the home The outer windows around the outside of the home Tiling around kitchen, fireplace and master bathroom not even or level Nails backing out on walls Sloppy painting of walls, doors an Cracked painted areas in the house walls This is a newly build house but they sold it to us like it was two years old home. It's unfortunate that all too often the only people who will leave a review online for a company are the naysayers. From start to finish my experience with Essex Homes was a great one. The salesperson was knowledgeable and patient with me through the build process. This is my first new home, so I was nervous and had a million questions every step of the way and she always made sure to answer me in a timely manner. The process was explained to me from the beginning, and the builder was great at giving me updates every step of the way so I never had to wonder what was happening even if it looked like there was no progress.
