English Oaks Senior Apartments

I moved here from Maryland 5 months ago and so far I enjoy the warm quiet atmosphere. My neighbors are friendly and welcoming. I only wish there were more activities for the seniors. I take part in Bingo every Thursday and it's fun, but we need more outings like bus trips to the Casino or the DC memorials. But all in all I enjoy my new community.

I know someone who lives here and it seems to be a pleasant place to live. They allow pets, but I believe there's restrictions on size and numbers. The acquaintance's home has a washer and dryer in unit, two bedrooms, one bath, and a small kitchen and medium size living area. The visitor parking rules are kind of draconian, but it's probably for the comfort of the residents. I believe they maintain the lawns and their appear to be some communal recreation areas but I've never seen them in use. It is within walking distance (depending on your mobility) of the England Run branch of the Central Rappahannock Regional Library. At one point I did ask the library if I could pick up books on behalf of the resident I know and they were willing to work something out.

Nothing to complain about here. The staff is great. Beverly is always a joy to be around. You have a question, she either answers or researches to get the answer.

The area around the senior community is a little displaced. Inside the community is a better experience. There are always a few people who seem to want to make waves anywhere you go. Trying to find a place where everyone gets along is rare nowadays.

Very nice place to live I 💘 it 😀UP DATE ON MY REVIEW- TWO YEARS NOW. DEFINITELY MY FOREVER HOME. EXCELLENT MANAGEMENT, MAINTAINENCE, GROUNDS ARE BEAUTIFUL, AND GARBAGE REMOVAL IS ON POINT. I AM LIVING MY BEST LIFE. NOT TO MENTION ALL THE WONDERFUL COMMUNITY GET TOGETHER'S.👍😄
